Watson Lake
Adventure trail around Watson Lake up by the other mile-high city of Prescott. This hike and our theme will both be about “Finding Your Way”. Uniquely, for much of this hike, there is no trail as it is solid rock. So, like a treasure hunt, you will have to work together to find your way via the marked trail clues along the path. It is a fun hike with varied terrains and great views including lake shore, and rock formations, riparian vegetation behind the dam, and green grass and trees on the backside.
Our hike is 4.8 miles long and has a 4.6 rating on All Trails. After the hike, we will head into Prescott and grab lunch somewhere around the old town square.
Meet at Mountain Park Church, 16461 S. 48th St. Phoenix at 6:30 A.M, and we will drive up in vans arriving at the trailhead by 9:00 A.M. The hike should take 2.5 hours and with our stop for a late lunch in Prescott, expect to return to Mountain Park Church by 4:00 P.M. If you need to carpool instead please let us know and meet at the trailhead 15 minutes prior.
